Job Description
Position Overview:
Anesthesia Technician will be based in the UHI prioritized HFs and as an anesthesiologist will work to
manage all surgery cases through providing professional and competent work
Position Reports To: Associate Cluster Manager,
Supervisory position:
Location: Kabul
Responsibilities:
Meeting with patients before medical procedures to discuss their medical history and lifestyle.
Assessing patients' conditions through analysis of medical history.
Explaining to patients the surgical process.
Administering anesthesia and monitoring patient vital signs during medical and surgical procedures, and
making appropriate adjustments in anesthesia to ensure patient comfort.
Monitoring patient vital signs and pain management after surgical and medical procedures to ensure
patient comfort.
Maintaining patient records relating to their procedures and the type and amounts of medications given.

Qualification Required:
Certified Anesthesia Technician
At least 4 years of experience in a similar position
Abilities/Skills:
• Ability to work successfully in teams, across a diverse team in a complex environment with
multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform
• Strong skills in facilitation, team building and coordination
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including strong writing, analytical and
communication skills in Dari, Pashtu and English (preferable)
