Job Description
- To be responsible for the planning, organizing, implementing, supervision /monitoring of all project activities;
- Ensure overall technical quality of services and quality or technical inputs in the province.
- To be responsible for the planning, organizing, implementing, supervision/monitoring of all project activities;
- Provide technical support to healthcare staff to enhance the quality of health services under the Basic Package of Health Services, including maternal and child health, nutrition, communicable disease control, mental health and disability, and immunization programs and supply of essential drugs
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including MoPH, donors, and local authorities, to ensure alignment with national health policies and priorities.
- Develop and oversee detailed work plans, ensuring timely and effective implementation of all project activities including
- Ensure timely and effective implementation of HIVA interventions and SBC activities as per contract.
- Ensure effective capacity building of technical staff at HF and office level through development and timely implementation of detailed training plans.
- To ensure HMIS verification targets are met as per project requirements;
- To have complete understanding of QQM and ensure all requirements of the metric are met as per project requirements;
- Ensure compliance with organizational and donor requirements in all project activities.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of technical staff for the project.
- To follow standard reporting timelines as per project contract reporting formats and provide quality and timely technical and narrative reports for internal and external stakeholders;
- To closely monitor the performance of project key indicators (P4P indicators) versus targets on monthly basis and be make sure that effective action plans are developed to achieve project targets both at provincial office and HF level;
- To evaluate the performance of his/her subordinates;
- To lead weekly technical meetings with provincial office staff to discuss challenges and issues seen by technical staff during supervisory visits.
- Provide technical assistance to HF staffs and health supervisors in implementation of tools for improvement the quality of health services;
- Conduct regular field visits to health facilities to monitor service quality and identify areas for improvement.
- To have active participation in PPHCC meetings, cluster meetings, HEs health committee meetings and task force working groups;
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely distribution of supplies to health facilities.
- Ensure the proper utilization of project resources, including medicines, equipment, and supplies.
To perform any other official task assigned by line supervisor and Head Quarter team.
Job Requirement
Education: MD/ equivalent medical degree from university in Afghanistan or other countries
Adequacy for the assignment:
Experience: At least three years full time experience in managing of provincial health projects/ Technical health positions (after graduation from university) in Afghanistan or other developing countries
Training: Reproductive Health, EPI, TB, Nutrition, IMCI and HMIS
