RCY is operating in the field of orthopedic and physiotherapy services in Jalalabad, Khost, Daikundi and Herat provinces. Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Orthopedic Device Fabrication and Maintenance:
- Fabricate, repair, and maintain orthopedic devices, including prosthetics, orthotics, braces, and splints, according to patient prescriptions and specifications.
- Utilize various materials and techniques, such as casting, molding, and shaping, to custom-fit orthopedic devices to individual patients' needs.
- Ensure the proper functioning and alignment of orthopedic devices through adjustments, modifications, and repairs as needed.
- Patient Assessment and Measurement:
- Assist in the assessment and measurement of patients for orthopedic devices, prosthetics, and orthotics, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to determine patients' orthopedic needs and requirements.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on the use, care, and maintenance of orthopedic devices to optimize comfort and functionality.
- Clinical Support and Rehabilitation:
- Support physiotherapists and rehabilitation teams in the delivery of orthopedic and physiotherapy services, including assisting with exercises, mobility aids, and therapeutic interventions.
- Participate in patient rehabilitation sessions, providing hands-on support and assistance to enhance mobility, strength, and functional independence.
- Monitor patients' progress and response to orthopedic interventions, reporting any concerns or changes in condition to the clinical team for further assessment and management.
- Documentation and Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of orthopedic device prescriptions, fittings, adjustments, and repairs in accordance with clinical protocols and documentation standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory of orthopedic materials, supplies, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage conditions.
- Assist in the procurement and sourcing of orthopedic materials and supplies, coordinating with suppliers and vendors as needed to fulfill project requirements.
Office Responsibility:
- Designing and implementing the work plan and obtaining approval from the project manager.
- Necessary coordination in the advancement of activities.
- Regular creation of filing system.
- Providing accurate daily, monthly and quarterly reports to direct supervisors.
- Run and update databases.
- Correct use of materials, tools and equipment related to the office.
- Regulating, maintaining and taking care of the property and goods of the department.
- Develop and streamline operational efficiencies.
- Contact delinquent accounts.
- Raising the level of knowledge and capacity building.
- Compliance with all ethical code, code of conduct, disciplines introduced by the organization.
- Obtaining complete knowledge about the organization and all the policies of the organization.
- Stay current with all regulations, requirements, and laws of government of Afghanistan
- Good behavior with clients and staff.
- Inform the direct commander in time of any kind of accidents that have happened.
- Carrying out other tasks assigned by the department.
Job Requirement
- 2 years of proven experience as ortho technician.
- Having a diploma in orthopedic technician.
- Familiarity with company policies and legal guidelines of the field.
- Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
- Good knowledge of computer
