Job Description

  • To provide quality nursing services   for IPDs patients in the concerned ward
  • Follow Hospital administration advice for any other businesses in the hospital.
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • nursing care of IPDs patients in the concerned ward according to doctor’s order (administration of IV fluids, medication, checking vital signs,
  • Responsible for the nursing procedure (ECG, Catheterization, NG tube clean enema, Gastric lavage, dressing etc.....)
  •  Responsible for nursing documentation (vital signs, investigations, input-output, nursing history).
  • To ensure a safe environment for clients and providers according to standard IP protocols in the ward.
  • Do night duty according to schedule.
  • In charge of dressing, suturing, injections and giving of intravenous medications under asepsis and antisepsis conditions, and after performing drug sensitivity tests.
  • Responsible of sterilizing/disinfecting of the medical equipment’s in the wards.
  •  Register patients in the ward.
  • To ensure daily hygiene of IPDs patients in internal ward (changing bed sheet, patients’ cloth etc.)
  • regular supply of medicine and medical equipment for IPDs patients from hospital pharmacy.
  • Regular follow up of the Wards IPDs patient. 
  • Participate in internal ward visit and morning report.
  • To participate in trainings upon request.
  • Regular health education in internal ward.
  • Other duties as assigned by the relevant supervisor or HEWAD leadership.
 

Job Requirement

  • Having a degree in the related field (Nursing).
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the related field.
  • Must be fluent in English and also in local languages.
  • Expert diagnostic skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong patient management skills.
  • Strategic guidance and planning skills.
  • Honest, reliable, and maintains confidentiality.
