About Future Generations Afghanistan: Future Generations (FG) is the collective name for an international network of non-governmental organizations including FG Country Programs in Asia and Africa, Future Generations University (FGU) and its alumni in 17 countries, academia, and individual’s experts. The original charitable organization, Future Generations, was established in 1992 for the purpose of learning from, and building upon the world’s most successful examples of community empowerment and social change. It is complemented by the Future Generations Graduate School (Future Generations University) in 2006 in the State of West Virginia with authorization to provide a Master's Degree in Applied Community Change focus on Conservation and Peace building. The Future Generations Afghanistan (FGA) established in May 2002 and obtained its registration certificate from Ministry of Economy, Government of Afghanistan in October 2005. Since 2007, FGA has been operational in Eastern Afghanistan, and successfully completed development and humanitarian programs in Nangarhar, Laghman , Kunar, Nuristan, Logar, Wardak, Nimruz, Herat, Kanadahar and Badghis Provinces
Job Description
the Solar Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solar power systems, ensures that systems are installed properly and running efficiently by regularly monitoring their operation and making necessary repairs or upgrades.
Job Requirement
responsible for designing and supervising the installation of solar energy systems, troubleshooting existing systems, and providing technical support
have a strong understanding of solar energy systems, including electrical and mechanical components, and experience with the installation and maintenance of such systems.
Design, supervise the installation, maintain, and monitor solar energy systems
Identify potential solar energy applications in buildings and other environments
Conduct site assessments and make recommendations on solar energy feasibility
Create technical drawings and design documents for solar energy systems
Ensure solar energy systems are compliant with relevant legislation
Qualification:
Organizational acumen and cultural sensitivity; and
Excellent oral and written English.
Must be comfortable in being a pro-active member of the senior management team.
Must be a leader who seeks to identify and communicate potential problems and propose solutions to solve them.
Must be able to function effectively in a loosely structured but complex work environment that is constantly and rapidly changing as a result of project development in all sectors.
In-depth knowledge and experience in the solar technologies, preferably, its implementation with hybrid (Solar-conventional) in grid-connected electrification systems;
