Job Description
- Under direct supervision of the DAWAM Project Manager, the senior Project Officer has the overall responsibility for the execution of the DWAM project against the agreed objectives and within the agreed budgets in Herat.
- Coordination of project activities in collaboration with the Provincial Public Health Directorate (PPHD), PHCC members and the community;
- Close coordination of the project interventions with World Vision based in Herat;
- Attending HMIS, EPI, nutrition and other coordination platform when required;
- Responsible for the planning, implementation and training activities;
- Monitoring of BHCs in Shindand and Farsi districts at least once a month;
- Ensuring that “Do No Harm” practices are incorporated and upheld throughout the planning and implementation of the project.
- Prepare accurate reports according to project objectives and submission timely;
- Ensure proper pharmacy management of BHCs that includes consumption, supplies, stocks, rational use of drugs etc...
- Meet regularly with health shuras, community leaders and other stakeholders, to ensure project effectiveness and community involvement in project implementation;
- Maintaining good working relations with key actors.

Job Requirement
- Registered medical doctor with a minimum of 2 years experience with health NGOs in the field of project management. supervision and monitoring;
- Proficient in MS office (esp. excel and world);
- To be a Herat resident;
- Must know English Languages.;
- Fluent in local languages;
- Willingness and ability to travel to remote health facilities and villages;
- Knowledge of local environment;
