Job Description
- Interpreting test data
- Keeping the laboratory in compliance with QA/QC initiatives, DOT, AMRL, CCRL, and AASHTO accreditation requirements.
- Assisting with field work and other laboratory functions when needed.
- Maintain and update databases of lab test results.
- Perform inspection and required in-progress quality control of testing equipment
- Prepare or review technical reports on sampling, testing or recommendations of data analysis.
- Supervise lab personnel and maintain internal quality control
- Ensure timely execution of lab tests.
- Present results of laboratory testing via in person or written result sheets to the clients
- Assist management team with financial performance of lab.
- Preparing promotional materials for geotechnical lab.
- Prepare and implement operational documents for the lab.
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationship with clients
- Exploring new clients and arranging meetings with potential clients
- Support procurement department in procuring of lab equipment.
- Trouble shooting the functionality of lab equipment, tools and machinery.
- The Lab manager will be responsible for Quality Assurance / Quality Control Testing Materials
- Ensuring that tests are performed as per the defined method.
- Perform Testing of Raw Construction Materials including Soil, aggregate, Asphalt and Portland Cement Concrete.
- Read and understand all analysis and Safety Standard in English, Including ASTM, AASHTO, UOP, and other well-defined analytical standards.
- Setting, adjusting and Operating Laboratory Equipment in accordance with applicable standard and Sound laboratory practice.
- Analysis of construction materials as well as quality control samples verify conformity to specification and document each test result and record.
Job Requirement
- At least 2 years of professional experience in relevant field
- Fluency in English Pushto and Dari
- Be an expert user of MS. Excel
- Very good reporting skills
- Be a very good communicator
- Ability of working under pressure and in dynamic responsive environment
- Ability of working in team as well as independently
- Disciplined and punctual
