About ASOW: The Afghan Social Organization for Women (ASOW) is a nationally recognized non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization that was established in 2020 and registered with the Ministry of Economy. Founded by Marzia Mohammadi, ASOW is dedicated to the development of Afghan society, with a particular focus on women and children. Through a range of initiatives, including education services, addressing gender disparities, capacity-building programs, vocational skills training, ensuring food security, and providing emergency relief assistance, ASOW aims to enhance the socio-economic condition of women throughout the country. With a team of experts and professional staff backed by years of experience in the social and development sectors, ASOW has the expertise to design and implement projects of various scales. The organization has forged strong partnerships with diverse governmental and non-governmental entities, youth groups, and social activists across Afghanistan. ASOW has a successful track record of implementing projects in Emergency Relief Assistance, Capacity Building, Raising Awareness, and Research sectors, funded by international donors and ASOW itself. Currently, ASOW is implementing the WFP UCSS project, which involves distributing cash and food assistance to vulnerable households, particularly those headed by women, in various districts of Kabul City and Daikundi province.

Job Description

Job Brief:

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Surveyors/SCOPE Registration Officers. In these roles, you will play a crucial part in project activities, including surveying intended project participants, collecting data, and ensuring compliance with selection criteria. Additionally, SCOPE Registration Officers will be responsible for managing the SCOPE database and implementing registration plans. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct household surveys and collect data using questionnaires, adhering to established tools and deadlines.
  • Ensure accurate data collection based on beneficiary selection criteria and promptly report any issues to supervisors.
  • Guide beneficiaries to registration centers for SCOPE registration.
  • Collaborate with relevant technical staff to develop and update assessment tools.
  • Record and register project beneficiaries, following ASOW and WFP registration rules and regulations.
  • Verify and prepare beneficiary lists, including national ID numbers.
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of SCOPE registration plans.
  • Register beneficiaries in the SCOPE database, ensuring a minimum of 100 registrations per day.
  • Prepare beneficiary registration forms in alignment with WFP criteria.
  • Upload registered data in the SCOPE database and provide status updates to supervisors.

Complete any other duties assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirement

Requirements for Surveyors and SCOPE Registration Officers:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data collection and conducting surveys.
  • Strong communication skills, including effective interaction with communities, CDCs, households, and beneficiaries.
  • Respect for customs, cultures, and traditions of local communities.
  • Proficiency in Pashto, Dari, and English languages.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated good behavior, character, and professionalism when engaging with community members.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Willingness to travel to various districts in the respective provinces.
