Job Description
Female Physiotherapist contributes to implementing physiotherapy activities under supervision of a Physiotherapist B2 or B3 from the acute to the rehabilitation stage, fulfilling various roles to lead in the promotion, improvement, and maintenance of people’s mobility, health and well-being. She provides services to patients in need of physiotherapy within an ICRC-run or supported hospital or physical rehabilitation center.
She is a full member of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team which ensures patient-centered care within an ICRC-run hospital and/or physical rehabilitation center during emergency and non-emergency situations.
Main Responsibilities:
• Helps promote best practices in coordination with the medical/surgical or physical rehabilitation team.
• Collaborates and liaises with all members of the rehabilitation team to ensure an interdisciplinary approach.
• Contributes to implementing ICRC physiotherapy standards in collaboration with the respective partners.
• Manages timely provision of physiotherapy services within an interdisciplinary approach.
• Assists in ensuring the continuum of care by referring individuals in need of further rehabilitation or vocational/occupational rehabilitation after their discharge tothe appropriate structure.
• Participates in developing professional relationships; advocates health promotion activities, so that patients benefit to the utmost from ongoing learning.
• When required and under supervision, reports on the hospital/physical rehabilitation physiotherapy activities, needs within the ICRC.
Job Requirement
• Diploma or technical degree in physiotherapy with a minimum of 2 years of full-time training.
• Relevant additional trainings (e.g. acute hospital or rehabilitation techniques) an asset.
• Fluent written and spoken command of the local working language as well as English.
• Computer literacy.
