About HealthNet TPO: HealthNet TPO is a Netherlands based not for profit, non-governmental organization founded on the principle that access to affordable quality health care is a basic human right. In 1992 HealthNet TPO was established by ‘Doctors without Borders’ to bridge the gap between emergency aid and structural development. The organization is now the result of a merger between HealthNet International (HNI) and the Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO). HNI has knowledge and experience in reinforcing healthcare systems and prevention, diagnosis and treatment of transmissible diseases. TPO is an expert in the field of psychosocial and mental health care for survivors of war and natural disasters. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is managed by a team of qualified Afghans and supported by a team of experts at the HQ of the organization in Holland. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, fighting malaria and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. HealthNet TPO is currently implementing projects in almost 20 provinces of Afghanistan and the major program it implements are HER (Health Emergency Response) projects in three provinces, Nutrition, Mental Health and Psychosocial, Malaria Control program, Tuberculus....... through a community system strengthening approach. HealthNet TPO has a zero tolerance toward sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse. HNITPO takes seriously all concerns and complaints about sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse involving HNITPO employees and Related Personnel.
Job Description
● Connect communities with MCHC services, serve as a bridge between the community and MCHCs to encourage communities allowing their women and girls to visit MCHCs and seek services.
● Communicate and coordinate with local level authorities and community members about MCHC activities and service
● Coordinate and communicate with DFAs as a MCHC representative on behalf of MCHC staff.
● Assist the project team in mapping ofof available health and PSS services in the targeted communities and strengthening the referral pathways
● Coordinate with BPHS/ EPHS related health facilities and other health service providers to foster synergies and collaborations.
● Assist provincial team in conducting coordination meetings within the MCHC catchment area and district with authorities and other stakeholders.
● Provide updates, community feedback on the services and required information to the project provincial team and MCHC team.
● Prepare a monthly activity plan and share it with MCHC in charge.
● Prepare monthly reports and meeting minutes and share it with MCHC in charge.
● Report any incidents occurring in MCHC catchment are ensuring timely communication to the line supervisor for guidance and appropriate action.
● Inform line manager immediately about any challenges faced in the MCHC activities implementation
● Perform any project-related tasks assigned by supervisors.
Job Requirement
● Bachelor's Degree in the relevant discipline (Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology) and related backgrounds are preferable.
● Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in community mobilization with NGOs/INGOs.
● Excellent social work and community mobilization skills
● Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
● Experience working with different communities with different cultures and protection services in the field.
● Ability to work in a team and demonstrate good organizational skills
● Preference will be given to local resident candidates and have a good reputation in the community
● Age 40-50
