About BARAN: Bu Ali Rehabilitation and Aid Network (BARAN) is a nongovernmental, non-political and independent organization. BARAN was established On 27.7.2006 and registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc), Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Ministry of Education (MoE) , Ministry of labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD) and Ministry of Women Affairs (MoWA) in order to deliver standard health care, social and educational services including conducting researches. Special attention is given for the community development by promoting capacity building programs.

Job Description

HMIS Main duties and responsibilities:

    • Operates the HMIS and other relevant databases, updates and analyze the information timely and regularly
    • Provides reliable, accurate, and timely information and reports for planning and decision making purposes
    • Monitors the HMIS activities in the project catchment areas
    • Ensure technical assistance and active involvement in certain project level assignments like conducting of household surveys, end project evaluation , CAAC etc at provincial level
    • Responsible to arrange and conduct HMIS training sessions for newly recruited employees and filed staff at project level as per need.
    • Responsible to share HMIS, reporting and filed performance related issue both with field staff based on filed visits findings and report analysis.
    • Ensure effective team work and coordination with project staff and provincial HMIS and PHO team in order to ensure the performance and data of the project as per project targets and update HMIS guideline.

Logistic Main duties and responsibilities:

  1. Ensuring the implementation of logistic procedures is according to BARAN logistic policy;
  2. Preparation of logistical contracts;
  3. Ensuring the management and follow up of stock movement, stock supplies and supplies for the projects is according to the BARAN logistic policy;
  4. Training and supervising the logistic staff on logistic tasks, stock management, deliveries, registrations, stock card, follow up of stock etc. ;
  5. Planning the logistic needs of BARAN projects with cooperation of team and Project Management Team (PMT);
  6. Evaluation of activities in terms of logistic point of view for the projects.
  7. Collecting, compiling, and analyzing the logistic reports on a monthly bases and preparation of monthly report on consumption of food and non-food items;
  8. Filing properly as required the supported document for each purchase of the project on monthly basis and submit to BARAN management;
  9. Collecting the internal order form from logistic department in a daily basis.
  10. Respecting the purchase procedure for each purchase “see purchase procedure”.
  11. Preparation of purchase orders and taking the approval of Operation and Finance Directors for each purchase.
  12. Deliveries of the goods after purchase to stock or to the required department or clinic and keeping a copy of delivery notes for purchasing.
  13. Be proactive in ensuring that the proposed buildings are completed to the high standards required.
  14. Maintenance and setting of Communication Equipment, water supply system.
  15. Maintenance and setting of room for training and stocking of materials.
  16. Checking security equipment extinguisher, water, send at bucket and  security alarm
  17. Maintenance of electricity and vehicles of MO and PO
  18. Assist with the project survey and cost estimation for each selected project activates
  19. All HFs and PO office Building layout or map.
  20. Performs inspections of the structure after it is completed and institutes a maintenance schedule for the up keep of the structure.
  21. Submits material requirements needed for construction to purchasing Department and follow up on delivery and verifies the accuracy of shipments received.
  22. Maintaining labor record that should be ready for checking any time.
  23. Choose machine and equipment to be used for the construction.
  24. Prepare bi-weekly progress report to line Manager.
  25. Full inventory list of equipment’s and maintenance requirement and the damage equipment listing.
  26. Maintaining and communicating logical guard rosters using sensible shifts and rotation.
  27. Managing guards on a day-to-day basis, including feedback on performance and task assignment.
  28. Ensure guards arrive early for shifts and stay awake and alert throughout their shift.
  29. Hold a 10-minute stand-up meeting with all guards and drivers at the start of the day to discuss any recent security information and security issues related to the tasks of the day ahead.
  30. Make periodic visits to the guards at the warehouse and guesthouse to discuss security issues and feedback to line manager.
  31. Supporting the Operation team in any related issues;

Pharmacy Main duties and responsibilities:

The Pharmacy Officer is reportable to BARAN Logistic Manager. The following items are the main responsibilities of Logistic Manager:

  1. Establish a well organized Drug Supply Management at BARAN MO and POs;
  2. Review and analyze the Health facilities drug requests and share them with supervisors and other technical staff;
  3. Ensuring the stock cold chain system at MO and POs level;
  4. Estimate medicine needed as indicated in BPHS 2010 in all health facilities, based on standard guidelines;
  5. Ensuring the quality of pharmacy services at the MO and POs level;
  6. Providing RUD and MDS training for relevant staff;
  7. Conducting marketing assessment on pharmaceutical and medical equipment.
  8. Coordination with procurement committee at the MO and POs level;
  9. Ensuring stock movement database and PO’s consumption database;
  10. Prepare medicine and medical supply Request Order Form for HFs as well as HPs based on need on quarterly base;
  11. Receiving essential medicine and medical supply for HFs and HPs from BARAN MO and other partners;
  12. Maintain standard and appropriate storage of the essential medicine in pharmacy stock;
  13. Maintain a computerized data base of essential medicine in the BARAN Pharmacy Stock;
  14. Maintain proper records of the BARAN Pharmacy Stock receipts, transfers, and disbursements 
  15. Assist the Logistic Department in procurement of medical equipment and supplies;
  16. Ensure close partnership, collaboration and coordination with partner NGOs pharmacy officers in overall activities.
  17. Coordination of pharmacy related activities with other stakeholders;

Job Requirement

1.    At least 3 years of proven relevent  experience  
2.   Bachelor's degree in the relevant department
3.    Strong communications skills;
4.    Fluent English, Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills
5. Midlevel  & experience in BPHS;
