Job Description
- Dispense appropriate medications to patients that were prescribed by the doctors and/or midwife
- Explain to patient how to take medication and educate patient about medication
- Monitor medication supply and make sure the medications are ordered according to clinic protocol
- Monitoring medication for expiration dates and disposing of expired drugs as necessary
- Keep updated medication list
- Communicate pharmacy needs/issues with direct supervisor the Medical Program Manager
Job Requirement
- Degree from a recognized pharmacy school
- Strong knowledge and expertise about medications for the treatment acute and chronic illnesses
- Experience of working with patients in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate good organizational skills
- Able to speak/write in English and Pashto/Dari with clarity and ease.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
