Job Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The ART coordinator should follow the YHDO policy, rules and regulations.
- He or she will present in the ART site during working hours.
- Coordinator will be responsible and accountable to the provincial coordinator and project manager.
- The coordinator will provide ARV treatment or opportunistic infection treatment for HIV clients and AIDS patients according to the national ART guideline.
- The ART site will have well coordination with VCT and the provincial coordinator.
- Coordinator will provide the file for people living with HIV to record their ARV treatment situation, OI, CD4 and Viral load update.
- He or she will prepare the list of PLHIV and AIDS with detail such as personal address, date of ART started , follow up visit date, ARV and OI treatment situation , duration of absence from ART or Drop out, and recording the death date .
- To establish the coordination mechanism between ART site ,VCT and DIC to strength the adherence of PLHIV with ART .
- ART coordinator will arrange the one coordination meeting in 2 months with VCT, DIC and provincial coordinator to update each other and focus on adherence of PLHIV with ART and find out the absent case of HIV as soon as possible.
- All HIV positive cases should check for TB , if the client is not active tuberculosis there is need to start Isoniazaid Preventive Therapy (IPT) for TB prevention in PLHIV according to national ART guideline.
- ART coordinator and doctor will have more focus on TB/HIV patient treatment follow up and ensure about the patient ART and Anti TB drugs.
- Coordinator will provide the follow up table for CD4,ARV,OI for each HIV positive cases.
- Coordinator will provide the request of require supply for ART site per quarter base and ensure to avoid from shortage of ARV, OI, condom, CD4 cartridge relevan regents ,medical and non medical requirement.
- He will provide the monthly and quarter activity progress report to provincial coordinator and project manager and provide the report need base.
- ART coordinator will arrange the meeting with PLHIV monthly base and support them.
- ART coordinator will do follow up and physical check up of all PLHIV at monthly base with available examination facilities.
Job Requirement
Qualifications
- University degree in health (Medical Doctor)
- Experience in HIV prevention filed
- Experience in HIV harm reduction and strong understating from Oral Substitution Therapy (OST).
- Experience of working in managing health projects
- Knowledge on use of computer office program
- Excellent oral and writing skills in Pashto, Dari and English language
