About Health, Disability and Development Organization (HDDO): Health, Disability and Development Organization (HDDO) is a national nonprofit and nonpolitical organization which has been registered with Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan in 07 January 2020 with the aims to advocate, promote and facilitate the Economic empowerment, socioeconomic reintegration, Physical rehabilitation, provision of health, education and livelihood support to the most marginalized, hard to reach and underserved population of the Country including person with disabilities, victims of war, mine and ERW in Afghanistan. HDDO is committed to play active role in the humanitarian response to the neediest population in the Country and at the same time to contribute in the development and reconstruction of the Country as well. The vision of HDDO is to Promote and sustain educated, prosperous, peaceful, gender and disability sensitive society, where people, especially women, disabled and youth have access to better healthcare, disability and physical rehabilitation, play a key role in inclusive and sustainable development and to make sure that every and each of them is an active member in the societies. The HDDO main principle is the community based inclusive approaches to involve local communities and the target group in the design, implementation and monitoring of the project and that is why HDDO is fully relying on local resources and local capacity in the targeted communities.
Job Description
GENERAL Responsibilities:

Job Description:
The Physiotherapist is responsible for the assessment, Provision of Physiotherapy, referrals, follow-up including advice to the person with disabilities, victims of war and others in need of physical rehabilitation, up to the full recovery and rehabilitation
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide Physiotherapy or physical rehabilitation services to person with disabilities or those in needs at the center and as well in the community through the mobile rehab unit
- Regular visit from the person with disabilities through the outreach concept for the rehabilitation and referral
- Visit to the communities and identify person with disabilities and victims of war and other in need of physical rehabilitation services.
- Coordinate with the health services providers in the province and region, and make referrals for the health and advance rehabilitation services.
- Follow-up monitoring of the referrals to make sure he-she receive the related services and follow the needy advices for rehabilitation
- Provide training to Community Health Workers (CHW) and as well as to local communities and person with disabilities regarding the disability rights and role of the community in rehabilitation and empowerment of person with disabilities
- Participate in sector coordination meetings, and represent HDDO role and interest at regional and provincial forums
- Assist the Government capacity building in physical rehabilitation sector, and actively engage in enhancing community awareness in physical rehabilitation programs and benefits
- Follow ethical and professional standards in carrying out all duties
- Provide the required report to HDDO
- File all the related data and information sheets, form and registration
Job Requirement
Qualification:
- Graduated Physiotherapist from Ministry of Public Health or Ministry of Higher Education recognized training department with 2-3-year diploma
- At least 2 years working experience either in the physiotherapy centers or in the Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Programme
- Familiarity and having wider picture with the health system of the country, in particular on the availability and accessibility to physical rehabilitation services and the required health services as well.
- Interest in working with victims of war through outreach and home based approaches to reach to those victims who need physical rehabilitation, and willingness to travel to remote areas
- Good communication skills in Pashto and Dari, and ability to write reports. Knowledge of English is an advantage
Experience:
1-2 years’ experience in the relevant field
