About SRP: About SRP: Shahrukhi Rehabilitation Project as an Afghan Non-Government and non-political organization and It was formally established in 1996, and new registration 8/2/2006 with Ministry of Economy, and carrying out Reconstruction, Construction, Agriculture, Irrigation, Income generation, Education, Health, Emergency projects, and help the repatriation process of Afghan refugees to Afghanistan. SRP has implemented different kinds of projects from UNOPS, WFP, UNOCHA, UNICEF, UNHCR, IOM, GOAL, Relief International, ECO, Special force, Action Aid, CHA, JICA, ASI, IMG, GAGP, GIZ, UNDP and others international agencies in Afghanistan. Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems.
- Disease prevention and use of different related vaccines against diseases
- Coordinating with local government officials, councils and local non-governmental organizations.
- Holding workshops on hygiene, how to keep livestock and marketing
- Providing educational materials for the beneficiaries of the project.
- Distribution of goats to the beneficiaries with the coordination and cooperation of the officials of the organization and the relevant officials
- Conducting regular follow-ups of the beneficiaries to ensure the growth progress of Asmari goats and their milk production process
- Providing regular consultations to project beneficiaries.
- Advice and guidance to owners (Asmari goats) regarding their medical conditions, general care and treatment.
- Any other related duties assigned by the project manager
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in veterinary field
- Minimum of 3 years veterinarian experience in the field of goat and sheep health care
- Strong communication skill
- Computer literate, especially MS. Word, MS PowerPoint, MS
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and local languages (Fluent speaking of Turkmen language) in the field location.
- Ability to work effectively with an ethnically diverse team in a sensitive environment.
