Job Description

Job Summary:

Construction foremen are responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of construction workers on a construction site. They must ensure that the work is completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. In addition to managing and scheduling subcontractors’ work, a construction foreman coordinates material deliveries, communicates with the project manager and other stakeholders, supervises safe equipment use, and manages any issues that may arise

Job Describtion:

  • Time-management skills to meet deadlines and ensuring construction phases are completed on time so that the next phase can start.
  • Report project progress to superiors.
  • Develop a work schedule for workers.
  • Supervise all construction workers.
  • Be the liaison between construction workers and supervisors.
  • Solve disputes between workers.
  • Ensure that a project is adequately staffed.
  • Assign tasks to construction workers.
  • Ensure that the project is staying on or under budget.
  • Work proactively with construction engineer /project manager and Procurement Unit to identify project materials, arrange for transport of materials, and coordinate with communities to handle tools and construction materials, maintaining a stock book at construction sites.
  • Lead in monitoring project activities to ensure quality implementation of work and make accurate reports to the construction engineer.
  • Work with local shuras, and community leaders to ensure communities understand stakeholder responsibilities, agreements, progress and document all communication clearly and promptly.
  • Train local technicians on projects’ appropriate use and essential maintenance after the close of the project.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the project team and other ACHRO colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including project participants and other community members, government agencies, other NGOs, and service providers.

Job Requirement

Job Requirements:

  • bachelor degree in the field of Engineering.
  • Having more than 3 Years of experience in the Relevant Field
  • Proficiency in Local Language and English Language is an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of New Data collection and data analysis.
  • Strong Report Writing Skills.
  • Good computer applications skills
