Job Description
- Summary of Key Functions
SUMARRY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The proposed social mobilizer is mainly responsible to support CARE International Health facility activities in a given/selected area/village.
- Assist Establishment of community health shuras in the health facility levels.
- To make schedule for monthly health Shura meetings.
- Support Health facility to organize services in terms of clients/patients flow control/screening.
- Establishment coordination between community and health facility.
- Responsible to support community in finding and solving health problems.
- Assist HF staff in providing plans of community health programs in the health facility and the catchments areas.
- Conduct community awareness sessions as per Health Facility plan and IEC materials given by Health Facility In-charge/doctor on regular basis.
- Conduct health education sessions according to the health facility health education plan.
- Regular reporting to health facility.
- To use and report Health committee information to monitor the health status and deliver the report to head of health facility.

Key relations
- Reports to health facility In-Charge and field supervisor
- Coordinate with Members of the sub health centre (SHC), and the Provision of Essential Life-Saving Healthcare Services to Underserved Populations Affected by Earthquakes in Herat Province staff.
- Key Results Expected
- Coordination Established between Health Facility and community in the surrounding areas of the Health Facility
- Local community awareness level improved regarding the health care services available in the health facility.
- Community level referral of increased to Health Facility.
- Health promoted in the target areas of the health facility.

Skills and Experience:
Skills:
- Previous working experience (at least one years in the communities mainly involved in health education, awareness, community mobilization and other social works).
- Excellent skills of problem-solving and decision making
- Strong communication skills
- Patient counselling and advice
- Willingness to work in COVID-19 situation but will be having PPE and IPC measurements provided.
- Good teamwork spirit
- Willingness to learn new skills.
Education:
- Graduated from 12 grade at least, and higher education level will be preferred especially medical institute.
Work Experience:
- The Candidate must have at least one-year previous experience in the relevant field.
Languages Skills:
- Fluency in spoken and written Dari and Pashtu is a requirement. English Language skills is a plus point.
