About HealthNet TPO: HealthNet TPO is a Netherlands based not for profit, non-governmental organization founded on the principle that access to affordable quality health care is a basic human right. HealthNet TPO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based public health interventions with a focus on: innovative development of health systems, mental health and psychosocial care, long and short term training of health workers, control of communicable diseases (including malaria), and health financing schemes. HealthNet TPO in Afghanistan aims to improve the health status of the people in Afghanistan by supporting the local communities and stakeholder in the development of a sustainable health care system. HealthNet TPO is working in Afghanistan since 1994, implementing integrated health projects managed mainly by national staff and supported technically by expatriate staff from the headquarter office. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary and secondary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. Health Net TPO is currently implementing projects in 22 provinces and the major programs are Health Emergency Response (B/EPHS) projects in three provinces, nutrition, Mental Health, Psychosocial program, Malaria and TB Control program, through a community system strengthening approach. HealthNet TPO has a zero tolerance toward sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse. HNITPO takes seriously all concerns and complaints about sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse involving HNITPO employees and Related Personnel
Job Description
- Follow the contact tracing process covid-19 cases, verbal autopsy, cause of death and birth registrations at regional level.
- Oversee execution of field operations related to covid-19, VA, CoD and birth registrations.
- Implement at provincial and regional level the deaths reporting and verification SoP developed by the national vital statistic department.
- Collaborate with hospitals and other provincial stakeholders for better implementation of project activities.
- Implement at provincial and regional level the births registration SoPs developed by the national vital statistic department.
- On job training of the health facility staff on cause of death and births registration system.
- Ensure births registration cards are available at the health facility level.
- Good coordination with PPHDs and implementing partners in provinces for the program enhancement.
- Monitor and supervise the births registration and deaths verification activities at provincial level.
- Travel and conduct supervisory visits to assigned provinces.
- Attend hospital death committee meeting on regularly basis.
- Attend hospital HMIS committee meeting on regularly basis.
- Check data in dhis2 and provide feedback to hospitals on data quality issues and problems.
- Provide report and document project progress to national team on monthly basis.
- Any other task assigned by supervisor if needed.
Job Requirement
- MD degree, preferably with medical Specialist.
- Desirable (working experience public health management and the medical field)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Fluent in local languages and awareness on the local context
- Written and spoken fluency in English.
- Experience in using a computer and tablets.
