About HealthNet TPO: HealthNet TPO is a Netherlands based not for profit, non-governmental organization founded on the principle that access to affordable quality health care is a basic human right. HealthNet TPO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based public health interventions with a focus on: innovative development of health systems, mental health and psychosocial care, long and short term training of health workers, control of communicable diseases (including malaria), and health financing schemes. HealthNet TPO offers ground-breaking and unconventional solutions that foster self-reliance and promote sustainable health care that is accessible to all. HealthNet TPO in Afghanistan aims to improve the health status of the people in Afghanistan by supporting the local communities and the Government of Afghanistan in the development of a sustainable health care system. HealthNet TPO is working in Afghanistan since 1994, implementing integrated health projects managed mainly by national staff and supported technically by expatriate staff from the headquarter office. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is providing Primary Health Care, Mental Health and psychosocial services, fighting malaria and supporting Mother & Child Health Care in terms of providing training for Community Midwifes and to conduct operation research. Health Net TPO is currently implementing projects in 22 provinces and the major program it implements are Malaria Control program,SEHATMANDI projects in four provinces, nutrition, Mental Health and Psychosocial program through a community system strengthening approach. HealthNet TPO has a zero tolerance toward sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse. HNITPO takes seriously all concerns and complaints about sexual exploitation and abuse and child abuse involving HNITPO employees and Related Personnel.

Job Description

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

General:

  • Receive cases from the field (Health facilities, other actors) coming to Psychosocial Counseling Centers (PSCC) in SDP that require support and assistance.
  • Conduct interview with client(s)
  • Enter the information regarding PSS survivors in data base.
  • Provide Basic health counseling to survivors
  • To assist Psychosocial Counseling Centers (PSCC) in charge providing a comprehensive assistance to PSS/ Survivors

Supervisory Tasks:

  • Responsible for day to day management of all data collection/entry related tasks in (PSCC) center.

Technical Tasks:

  • Keep all the records confidential.
  • Try to protect the PSS/survivors from further harm.
  • Provide the clients with information regarding her/his legal rights
  • Do ongoing counseling of individual clients and/or family members
  • Community dialogues /meetings with other professionals and organizations
  • Work closely with PSCC in charge in data analysis
  • Assist PSCC in charge in developing IEC and job aids
  • Providing feed back to PSCC staff on data discrepancy
  • Developed monthly graphs and reports
  • Check the register and report formats
  • Provide on job training to other PSCC staff on HMIS tools
  • All the reports are available in PSCC
  • Has the Data collector has the job related knowledge and skills
  • Work closely with other staff members to build a professional team
  • Provide and submit reports to psychosocial Counseling Centers (PSCC) in charge/Technical officer and other seniors.
  • Perform any project related tasks assign by supervisors
  • Keep the Database (tracking system) correct and provide accurate for project M& E office/Department.  

Tasks of Relations with External Agencies and other organizations:

  • Meet with provincial Government departments such as department of MoPH, and relevant departments and NGOs such as BPHS/EPHS implementers and stakeholders, if needed.
  • Continue and expand working relationships with NGOs in coordination with HealthNet TPO provincial managers

Miscellaneous Tasks/NON-Routine Tasks:

  • Perform any other project related duty assigned by Psychosocial Counseling Centers (PSCC) In charge
  • Assist the Provincial Technical officer and other management staff in tasks as required.

Job Requirement

  • LAW/ Justice and Legal and psychosocial social background graduates  
  • 3 years’ experience in the field of legal studies in experiences with NGOs/INGOs.
  • Excellent computers skills, particularly with MS- Office Package.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in Dari/ Pashto and have good command of English language both written and spoken.
