Job Description
- (Duties):
- Manage and hold community awareness sessions with the people of the fields and districts about MHPSS, CP, Protection, GBV etc.
- Conduct individual counselling sessions and go ahead as per the plan regarding number of the sessions and service types.
- Set up and make groups of clients with similar situations and hold counselling sessions with them.
- Holding different sessions with clients and their families.
- Assessing clients and identifying their problems by PSS counselling in the centre and if needed in the (related) fields and districts.
- Engaging in discussions with clients and making them feel comfortable.
- Support in raising awareness regarding the MHPSS and protection services.
- Design activities with psychological service purposes for vulnerable children, young men/women at risk, and People with Disabilities (PwDs).
- Conduct meetings with members of the community and follow up on the status of clients regularly.
- Communicating effectively and constructively with clients' family members and conducting family sessions for more effective counselling purposes.
- Provide correct individual psychological support for cases referred by other agencies based on the coordination of interagency support and mutual agreements.
- Evaluating client responses to treatment over time.
- Supporting community-based psychosocial support intention and initiatives
- Manage and work referral pathway system, from and to the other service providers.
- Maintain records, with adherence to data protection policy and confidentiality principles, of clients’ information.
- Having the ability to conduct FGD and KII meetings/sessions at the community level and with different people.
- Provide timely reports and give the reports to the supervisor on time.
- Perform any other related tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Holder of a diploma in psychosocial counselling.
- At least two years experience in the provision of psychosocial counselling services. experience with IDPs will be a plus point.
- Proper report writing and communication skills.
- A team member with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain professionalism/medical ethics in service delivery and interaction with clients.
- Experience in case management including organising individual or group counselling sessions.
- Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
