Job Description
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Will understand and try to achieve the monthly coverage and EPI indicators.
- Will have an update list of the EPI and MCH dropouts to follow them in outreach sessions.
- Will store, handle, and maintain vaccines per Afghan N-EPI/UNICEF/WHO protocols.
- Will dispose of contaminated waste in a responsible manner to prevent exposure.
- Will provide fixed and outreach EPI activities.
- Will maintain a high level of cold chain management all the time.
- Will respond immediately to any cold chain irregularity using local possibility including sending Vaccines to other closest health facility with cold chain system.
- Will report immediately any irregularity of cold chain to supervisor.
- Will provide appropriate patient education to prevent dropout and increase coverage
- Will provide health education for her/his client to fix centre and outreach sessions
- Will identify and report problems that interfere in the delivery of services
- Will provide complete accurate clear and on time monthly activity report
Job Requirement
Education:
Nursing diploma/ EPI courses certificate.
Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years’ work experience, particularly in vaccination
- Strong Command on Dari/Pashto
- Working experience in the targeted provinces and familiar with concerned community, geography, and culture.
