Job Description
- As a Service/Field Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a range of well-known diesel generators ranging from 10KVA to 5MW and more.
- We are ideally looking for candidates who have good experience in maintaining and servicing a various range of diesel generators.
- Carry out fault finding and diagnosis to a range of diesel generator sets. Resolve electrical and mechanical engine problems. Replacing/Rectifying electrical and mechanical faulty components.
- Maintain regular and professional communication with the internal service team. Be prepared to work overtime on an ad hoc basis dependent on the needs of the customer and business. This includes mid-week and weekend work and occasional overnight stays. Work from or visit other locations outside of your patched area.
- Carry out basic engine servicing with other field staff as and when required. Carry out site testing. Proficient with estimating the time required to complete tasks. Participate in the on-call Rota to ensure our customers receive a high level of service 24 hours per day. Customer liaison, update and ensure complete customer satisfaction. Good housekeeping of both customer sites and company vehicles.
- Adhere to company health & safety standards. Providing on-call assistance to customers at home or businesses in remote locations, diagnosing and resolving electrical issues.
- Competent in using diagnostic tooling and software, Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, Good interpersonal skills to liaise with other service engineers, supervisors and management, original equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and customers.
Job Requirement
- Bachelors/Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized Institute.
- Previous experience working on Diesel Generators is mandatory i-e Caterpillar, Perkins, FG Wilson, Cummins.
- Previous experience working on Sync System + Controllers i-e Deep Sea, Woodward (EasyGen), ComAp, and Dief.
- Previous experience working with large industrial power generation equipment.
