Job Description

Job Porpouse 

The Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing mental health care to patients as part of a mental health mobile team. They will work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, provide consultation, and develop treatment plans for patients with mental health concerns. The Psychiatrist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirements.

Major Responsibilities 

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients with mental health concerns.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Prescribe and monitor medication for patients as appropriate.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counselling to patients and their families.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement and performance management activities to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting as the requiremtn of MoPH, WVA and donor

Job Requirement

Required Professional Education and Experience

Experience working with patients with mental health concerns.

Knowledge of evidence-based treatments for mental health disorders.

Medical degree and graduated from Mental health Specialty program / Psychiatrist

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

 Attended Neurology fellowships
