Job Description

  • Under the guidance of the Project Manager in Kabul, the supervisors will have the overall responsibility of effective supervision of Integrated Emergency Response Teams (IERT) in Kabul, Kapisa, Parwan, Logar, Ghazni, Khost, Paktia, and Wardak
  • The supervisor spends most of his/her time in the field overseeing the services providers to ensure quality of Integrated Emergency Response services provided;
  • Will work closely with PPHD on the deployment of teams.
  • Support IERTs on operational and technical issues.
  • Identify gap areas/sites to be deployed in close coordination with PPHD and the AADA provincial team.
  • Provides guidance and support to IERT members to ensure effective and integrated services are delivered to affected communities.
  • Ensure linkages and referral mechanisms of affected communities to health facilities.
  • Develop a monthly work plan for the improvement of IERTs services and weaknesses observed IERT in coordination with the provincial team.
  • The supervisor spends most of his/her time in the field overseeing the services providers to ensure quality of Integrated Emergency Response services provided;
  • Meeting regularly with beneficiaries, community leaders and health shuras to ensure program effectiveness and community awareness on project services;
  • Ensure community awareness and mobilization and Linkages between community and IERTs
  • Prepare and submit timely weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Identify and report immediately any program or administrative problems that may interfere in achieving program objectives;

Job Requirement

  1. Medical Doctors with at least One-year work experience With local NGOs.
  2. Working in Emergency Response projects is an asset.
  3. Fluency in written and spoken local language.
  4. Having skills in computer applications such as Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Word.
  5. Ability and willingness to travel to rural locations;
  6. Knowledge of local environments;
