About COAR: About COAR: Citizen Organization for Advocacy and Resilience, COAR (formally Coordination of Afghan Relief) CoAR is an Afghan, independent, nonpolitical, non-sectarian, and non-for profit organization established in 1989 and registered formally with the ministry of Economy. COAR actively bridging between donors of humanitarian aid and rural Afghan communities severely affected by almost four decades of wars, internal conflicts, natural and manmade disasters, and complexities. Job Description
- Responsible for implementation of all WASH activities (gravity pipe schemes, spring protection and construction of latrines and bathing facilities) in the assigned project.
- Responsible for conducting village assessment survey and selecting proper locations for water points, bathing facilities and latrines.
- Check quality of construction materials on site.
- Follow up the curing of concrete work and concrete elements.
- Keep daily record of project progress.
- Assign vehicles, equipment and skilled laborers for daily project’s activities.
- Assist the project manager in training new mechanic/ valve man locally assigned by community, if there are not already trained mechanics, collecting mechanic wages during the installation of the hand pump/stand post.
- Provide the progress of work to project manager
- Any other task given by the superior.

Job Requirement
- Bachelor degree in civil engineering.
- 2 years’ experience in relevant field.
- Further qualifications in engineering in development related contexts preferred.
- Technical and practical competence in WASH including experience in Gravity pipe schemes, spring protection and sanitation facilities.
- Prepare and qualities assure monitoring plans.
- Excellent communication, cooperation and interpersonal skills.
