Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
To assist and support the doctor of the project in providing health services, health education and distribution of hygiene kits and medicine to street working children.
Job Requirement
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plan, organize, carry out street children at chosen place to reach out to people with low accessibility to health care
2. Assist in/provide health education session as necessary.
3. Provide sterile instruments for examination; assist in sample collection for investigation.
4. Provide clear instruction to the patients on the prescribed medicines, partner treatment and follow up with compassion
5. Follow Universal Precaution & proper Hospital waste management as per international standard strictly at work place.
6. Manage pharmaceutical activities as required.
7. Follow proper strict registration of all activities and submit weekly/monthly reports
8. Create patient friendly atmosphere, maintain strict confidentiality at all level, provide services with no stigma attached.
9. Maintain best possible relationship with all the colleagues at work place and maintain WV policies at all levels of job.
10. Provide adequate information towards protecting against STI/HIV transmission.
11. Carry out training programs to the center staff on HIV/AIDS, TB, Universal precaution & proper medical waste management.
12. Distribute IEC.
13. Carry out Health education sessions on HIV/AIDS and TB for care seekers with family of children.
14. Identify peer educators in the field among different groups of street children of community, train them and carry out community health education on HIV/AIDS and TB through them.
15. Attend staff meetings and staff training program regularly in the street children center.
Knowledge and experience:
Work experience at least 1- 2 year in the hospital – clinic, working with children.
- Very good communication with staff & clients.
- Languages empowerment (Dari – Pashto).
- Flexibility for work.
- Strong capacity building & facility skill.
- Ability to work team environmental.
- Ability to commit to World’s Vision Core Values and the Mission Statement
Education:
Nursing degree.
