Job Description
Scope of Work:
The Nutrition officer should work with cooperative attitude to keep the link and integrate the Nutrition with BPHS activities in accordance with the national standards at health facility, district, and province level
To work with cooperative attitude to keep the link and integrate the Nutrition activities with BPHS activities in accordance with the national standards at health facility, district, and province level
Plan, coordinate, supervise/monitor and report nutrition related activities especially WFP TSFP funded Nutrition Project in line with Logical Framework of the project in the province and develop communication network for this purpose in coordination with the BPHs Nutrition
Main Responsibilities:
- To work with cooperative attitude, implement Nutrition activities in BPHS HFs in accordance to the national standards
- Plan, coordinate, supervise/monitor and report nutrition related activities especially WFP/TSFP funded Nutrition Project in line with Logical Framework of the project in the province.
- develop communication network for nutrition activities in coordination with the PPHD Nutrition Officer.
- Assist & support the formation of provincial nutrition steering committees & technical working groups on Nutrition.
- Collect, compile & analyses project data to monitor progress on monthly and quarterly bases.
- Prepare and distribute Nutrition related IEC materials and disseminate to the HFs.
- In coordination with CBHC Officer, heads of HFs, CHSs and CHWs for referring of malnourished cases to the HFs through CHWs debriefing days and supervisory visits.
- Support and implement Nutrition Relevant Surveys when needed.
- Provide and submit monthly work plans and activities reports on monthly basis to MOPH and WFP as per the agreed timelines.
- Perform any other duties as required in line with your skills, experience, and rule.
- Conduct on the job training during each supervision for nutrition activities, both regarding curative and preventive activities
- Participate as facilitator in nutrition trainings with close coordination of CDO and other trainers!
- 60% of activities will be in the field (HFs)
- To do any other tasks within the field of competency as the Project Manager/Deputy Project Manager/quality assurance senior officer assign.
Job Requirement
Qualifications & Requirements:
Graduated from recognized Medical University (MD)
Experience:
At least 2-3 experience in in relevant position, Experience in NGOs, UN agencies (preferably with BPHS Implementer).
Others:
Computer skill at operator level, especially with MS Office packages.
Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto, both written and spoken, English knowledge will be preferred.
Good Interpersonal and communication skills
Supervisory, team worker and analytical skills
Ability and willingness to travel to the project sites within Nuristan province and adjust to SCA environment.
Honest, proactive, and well mannered.
