About AADA: Agency for Assistance and Development of Afghanistan (AADA) is an Afghan non-profit non-governmental organization working for the development of Afghanistan mainly through (1) provision of quality health services; (2) community development; (3) training and capacity building at professional and community levels; and (4) research in topics of public health and social sciences besides various projects in different parts of Afghanistan.
Job Description
- The purpose of the position is to make sure a community-based approach is established and implemented in order to ensure the community’s participation and involvement in the planning, implementation and monitoring of project interventions
- Conducting a minimum of 10 supportive; supervisions from FHHs, CHWs, FHGAG, Shuras, and community elders every month;
- Facilitation of dialogues with community influencers, religious leaders and their engagement in FHH site selection;
- Orientation of target communities on project intervention and procedures to inspire them to actively play their role in aching project aims;
- Support FHHs staff in the identification of CHWs, FHGAG, Shuras members;
- Support distribution of medical and non-medical supplies to FHHs
- Participate in the recruitment of competent midwives for FHHs
- The post holder may be required to carry out additional duties from time to time which are reasonable in relation to his/her level of skills and experience.
Job Requirement
- University degree in Social Science, education or related field
- At least two years of working experience with national and international NGOs in community mobilization field;
- Local resident;
- Fluency in written and spoken local languages;
Knowledge about local environment and context.
