Job Description
Job Summary:
Site Engineer is responsible for the overall Survey, design, implementation, and monitoring of construction projects in target areas. She/he will be also responsible for providing technical support to the field team to ensure all construction work of project infrastructures is done according to the design and drawings and have smooth progress as per project timeline and requirement and timely reporting on progress. She/he is also responsible for providing technical guidance and support to other staff/contractors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and preparation of bills of quantity for School projects.
- Cooperate in preparation of standards and provide typical designs for schools and other structures built for MoE which is funded by UNHCR.
- Monitor of all infrastructure projects and construction activities according to Drawing and specification.
- Collect technical information and coordinates from the field using modern survey equipment.
- Ensure projects activities are according to work plan and technical specifications.
- Review materials provision and test results providing by the contractor matching with the drawings, BoQ and technical specification.
- Give proper instruction to contractor for delivery of the projects and solve their problem in the site.
- Support PM in reporting to donors and other stakeholders and improve ACHRO coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports to regional manager along with site visit reports.
- Measure completed works of the projects and ensure from quantity and quality of the project works.
Job Requirement
- Having Bachelor degree field of civil engineering.
- At least three (3) years practical experience in civil engineering.
- Knowledge in preparation of tendering documents, specifications and BOQs.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working with people in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language and fluent in a local language.
- Having Strong knowledge in Auto Cad programmed, MS Office is a must.
