About Afghan Institute of Learning: Afghan institute of learning (AIL) is a Non-governmental, non-political, non-profit and women-led organization (NGO) which was established in 1995 by "Dr. Sakena Yacoobi" to provide education, training and health services to vulnerable Afghans in order to foster self-reliance, critical thinking skills, and community participation. The Afghan Institute of Learning (AIL) believes in a community based tailored, holistic approach that: raises the literacy rate, teaches job skills enabling women to contribute to their families and communities, ensures women and children are safe and know their rights, provides access to health care, education, legal aid and food aid and promotes Afghan culture and peace. Afghanistan needs the half of its population that is female to contribute their talents and skills to helping communities thrive. Job Description
An Anesthesiologist is a highly skilled medical doctor who administers anesthesia to patients prior to surgical procedures. They monitor, evaluate, oversee and provide a continual assessment of the patient's care before, during and after surgery.
Ultimately, you will administer, monitor and record the type and amount of anesthesia used during the procedure. You will collaborate with other physicians for patients that require at-home pain management.
Description of Duties
- Examine patients to ensure they are prepared for surgery
- Monitor vital signs during surgery
- Manage medical problems if they occur during surgery
- Making cooperative decisions that are in the best interests of the patient
- Monitor recovery
- Determine when a patient has recovered from the effects of anesthesia
- Create recovery plans
- Consult with other doctors on patient care
- Decide when a patient is ready to be discharged or be moved to a specific room
- Examining patients, reviewing medical history and reviewing tests before surgery
- Fully sedating or numbing parts of a patient’s body in preparation for surgical procedures
- Creating anesthesia plans for each patient.
Job Requirement
Knowledge Required.
- Proven work experience as an Anesthesiologist or similar role
- MD or DO qualification
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
three years' experience of working in intensive care setup in government or private sector is preferred. Exceptional applicants with less experience may also be considered.
