Job Description

Scope of work:

Under the direct supervision of the ICT Officer (Support) the IT Officer is responsible to support Information communication and technology unit in day-to-day activities, like setting up projectors for different workshops and training, backing up and restoring of data, computer installation as per SCA standards, setting up and configuration of network printers, cisco switches and other Internet equipment’s. The IT officer should perform as an active member of the SCA’s IT team to also provide other general IT/ICT support to SCA as/if required. 

      Main Responsibilities:

  • Implementation and Follow-up of the SCA’s IT policies and guidelines.
  • Evaluation, Designing, Development, Implementation, Maintenance, Upgrade, and Troubleshooting of KMO’s IT setup and systems including but not limited to computer network/s & relevant equipment’s & peripherals, servers, personal computers, printers, multimedia projectors, email accounts & services, internet equipment & connection/s, websites and services and UPS systems.
  • Assisting IT unit in the IT equipment quality check-up and given proper usage instruction    to the relevant users.
  • Travel to the all-project offices to evaluate, troubleshoot, maintain, design, implement, and enhancement of Smooth wall, Kaspersky and other services.
  • Assisting and supporting Project/Field IT officer/assistants remotely on day-to-day bases and per the instruction of line manager.
  • Assist field and project offices whenever assistance is required in the administration, installation, and implementation of smooth wall system on their relevant offices.
  • Preparing training Materials and delivering trainings to Kabul Management office Colleagues whenever systems are upgraded.
  • Perform as an active member of the SCA’s IT team to also provide other general ICT support to SCA as/if required.
  • Monitor & updating inventory list of IT equipment in ICT store
  • Day to day updating inventory In/Out items on excel sheet.
  • Daily checking of N/W printers for toner status.
  •  Setup & installing of Multimedia, laptop & screen for Workshops & trainings
  • Issuing IT equipment such as Mouse, Keyboard, UPS & computers.
  • Any other relevant duties assigned by the Senior ICT officer.
  • Assist field and project offices whenever assistance is required in the administration, installation and implementation of smooth wall system on their relevant offices.
  • Closely monitor all internet Service Provider internet connections to the quality and reliability of the link.
  • Keep close attention to pay the payment of all ISP’s on time in order to avoid internet disconnectivity of the system.
  • Preparing training Materials and delivering training to KMO Colleagues whenever our software is upgraded.
  • Perform as an active member of the SCA’s IT team to also provide other general ICT support to SCA as/if required.
  • Any other relevant duties assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirement

  • Computer Science from a credible college or university or equivalent experience.
  • CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, and/or MCP certified (must have taken the complete course and hold the accredited certificates at the time of application).
  • Experience:
  • 2-4 years of professional work experience in the field of ICespeciallyly network and support with a national or international organization.

  • Ability and willingness to travel to Regional Management offices (RMOs)
  • Ability to take initiative, and pursue work proactively without being intensively supervised
