About MMRCA: Background Information: The Medical Management and Research Courses for Afghanistan (MMRCA) is a national, non-for-profit, non-political, humanitarian organization established in March 2008 by Afghan Health Professionals and is registered as an NGO with the ministry of the economy (MoE) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. MMRCA has been implementing the HIV Project (Scaling up HIV interventions among Key Affected Populations in Afghanistan) in Balkh, Kundoz, and Badakhshan provinces. Therefore, MMRCA is looking to recruit a qualified Outreach Worker in Balkh province to provide the required prevention-related services for the under PWIDs DIC in Balkh province. MMRCA invites and encourages eligible candidates to apply for the position of Outreach Worker for the HIV Project located at PWIDs DIC in Balkh Province.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Respect the internal MMRCA and MOPH rules and policies
- Preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual action plan for PWIDs DIC activities with facility coordinator according to performance indicators
- He should follow the Outreach plan, equipped with outreach tools and its implementation in the field
- Provision of motivational Counseling and other social services for target clients
- The OR worker will update on Syringes, Condoms, and IEC distribution, and follow up the wounds & abscess care plus drugs overdose
- He will provide the outreach plan on a monthly basis regularly and update the outreach plan when the fin out the hot spots with clients
- Perform testing services according to the National Testing Guideline through the OR program
- Providing N&S services, condom promotion, overdose management, and referral services for the targeted clients
- OR worker is responsible to provide the Map of under catchment areas, plus Female PWIDs hot spots in Balkh city out of reach, to reflect the host pots address
- Participation in all related training and transferring to other staff
- Participation in all official meetings, workshops, and events of harm reduction
- Prepare monthly activities report to his line manager
- Identifying risks and problems against the program and sharing them with the PWIDs DIC coordinator
- Perform other related activities assigned by the line manager
Professional Competencies:
- Baccalaureate
- One year of work experience in a related field
- Received Training regard to the Harm Reduction, HIV/AIDs, Drug Addiction field, etc
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good Computer Skills.
- Good Knowledge of fluently in Dari/Pashto and English languages
