About Company
About Tanweer Investments: The overall objective of Tanweer Investments – Health Care Program is to provide support to the Ministry of Public Health for the strengthening of its’ role of stewardship of the Afghan Public Health Sector and the Health service delivery in the field of primary health care (maternal and child health, including immunization) in most high-risk provinces/districts of the country. The main purpose of this program is to provide services to the needy community in coordination with district and provincial level health authorities and partners, based on the MOPH policies, strategies and operational plans and to achieve suitable results for eradication of polio and promote routine vaccine coverage to the expected target. Also the program will consider full integration with other community intervention to synergize the effort and response to the community need e.g. agriculture, handicraft etc. The program has the scope of providing assistance to the various provincial departments of MoPH and other ministries when and while required for better service delivery. This program specifically aims to contribute to provision of technical support to the different sections of MoPH particularly national EPI/EOC and provincial health directors of the selected provinces for cheapest and community acceptable services with a sustainable manner. It concentrates on the organizational and management capacity building of the target provinces, as well as the development of technical/managerial skills amongst their staff in the field. Based on the assessment, in each district appropriate strategy for services delivery e.g. mobile health team (MHT) for the provision of health care services to the population targeted is needed. Also full referral system with the district and province will be established based on level of health facilities available.
Job Description
- Ensure Institutionalization of HMIS system in TIH program for reporting and monitoring purpose.
- Ensure availability of standard National HMIS forms in all MHT and other facilities under the TIC health care program.
- Maintain coordination between facilities and project office and check all data to ensure submission of timely and accurate HMIS reports.
- Provide timely HMIS report and make sure HMIS replica is submitted to PPHD/MoPH and health cluster by using standard HMIS
- Ensure and conduct that HMIS initial and refresher trainings are coordinated and provided to health staff according to the standards and based on the TNA.
- Provide timely feedback to health facilities (MHTs) after review of HMIS report, especially low coverage of EPI/PEI and suggest how to improve the coverage and reporting
- Provide reliable accurate and timely information and reports for informed planning and decision making at project.
- Draft monthly technical report to submit it to M&E/Reporting officer
Job Requirement
Education
- MD or equivalent medical degree or Bachelor of Public Health or statistics from university certified by relevant higher education authority in Afghanistan.
Experience
- At least 5 years work experience with health sector
- At least 3 years full time work experience in the position of HMIS with BPHS/EPHS NGOs or PPHD and.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Computer skill at operator level especially with MS Office packages.
- Working knowledge in English and fluency in Dari and/or Pashto both written and spoken
- Analytical skills of HMIS data.
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Supervisory team worker analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability and willingness to travel to the project sites within Afghanistan Honest proactive and well mannered.
