About Particip GmbH: The overall aim of the Particip GmbH Consultancy for Third Party Monitoring and Evaluation of the health services is to assess the performance and progress of the health care system in Afghanistan.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attends and completes training on data collection procedures and measures and maintains reliability
- Participates in the administration of pre and post-training assessments
- Collects the data of selected hospitals in accordance with established protocols
- Review all hard copy data collected on a daily base (on the spot) to identify mistakes or missing information and go back to the facilities for correction/clarification as needed to ensure the high quality of data collected.
- Functions as focal person for the third-party monitoring of UN-TPM project in the province.
- Coordinates with local health officials to ensure successful data collection.
- Assists the Field/Technical Manager in developing security plan to help ensure safety and security of the field staff.
- Communicates regularly with the Field/Technical Manager to updating them on the status of the field work and all field-related problems on a regular basis.
- Submits all completed data collection forms (or scanned copies) to office after final check.
- Keeps the forms and instruments safe and maintain confidentiality of the data.
- Maintain supplies of material needed for data collection and communicate needs for additional supplies to Field/Technical Manager in a timely manner.
- Carries out other data collection activities as assigned by the field manager/ office.
- Demonstrate integrity with the values and ethical standards of Particip GmbH, Ministry of Public Health and UN
- Promotes the vision, mission and strategic goals of Particip GmbH.
- Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.
- Treats all people fairly without favouritism.
Drug Quality Assessment Visual Inspection specific responsibilities:
- To understand the Drug specifications and the conditions to maintain the quality of drugs
- Inspection of Drug Storage Points at the health facility
- To understand the importance of labels in Drug Quality Assessment
- To carry out drug sampling procedures at the pharmacy for Drug Quality Assessment
- Ability to distinguishes between brand name and INN names of drugs and records them properly
- Familiarity with the form of Drugs (Syrup, Suspensions, IM, IV, Capsule, Tablets etc…), checks and records the uniformity of shape products and its uniformity of colour
- Ability to understand physical damage (cracks, breaks, erosion, abrasion, sticky) and record them properly
- Ability to understand other observations (no foreign contaminant, dirty marks, proper seal for capsule)
- To have the knowledge of cold chain & the temperature for drugs
Job Requirement
- Havingmedicalbackground
- At least 2 years of working experience in surveys
- Past experience in HMIS verification and BSC & DQA Drug Quality Assessment and Covid-19 surveys are an asset
- Preference will be given to the couples
- Familiarity with electronic data collection is an asset
- Willing and able to visit health facilities in respective province and regions, including security assessment of the rout and destination and ensuring safety and security during the data collection period.
- Excellent written and spoken Dari and Pashto
- Having good communication skills
