Job Description
From birth until the age of six, children are permitted to live with their incarcerated mothers in the Herat Women’s Prison. This position will be responsible for the medical care, examination, diagnosis and treatment for these children. This position is for working inside the women’s prison, part-time.
Job Requirement
This person is required to work in the Herat Women’s Prison part-time, 3 days per week. They will be working in the clinic inside the women’s prison. They will be examining each child monthly to monitor their health, and examining and treating sick children as needed. They will be writing prescriptions, procuring medicines, and keeping patient charts up to date. They must be able to put in IVs into small veins. They will assist with health and hygiene training to the mothers and assist with hygiene distributions for the children. They will be interacting with the mothers who are prisoners. She will need to be available to be on-call should there be an emergency.
