The primary objective of this project is to addressing the promotion of sustainable licit livelihoods, youth vocational and natural resource management; psychosocial, peace education, community–based agriculture and economic development programs. The program will work to strengthen the IDPs, Returnees, and host community at center Herat, and Badghis center throughout support of community stockholders GIROA related sectors in the project cycle.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Psychosocial Counsellor responsibility is conduct counseling with IDPs and returnees as well as host community with individual, family, or group during one or more sessions to support the process of overcoming environmental, emotional, or social problems that are affecting the health and well-being of the Healthy Start participant and/or the infant's/child's family members.
The counsellor responsible to looks at individuals in the context of the combined influence that psychological factors and the surrounding social environment have on their physical and mental wellness and their ability to function.
The counsellor is responsible to building trust with their patient’s emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions of what it means to be healthy.
The counsellor is responsible to interact between a person and history and provide them with technical approach to overcome and return to their previous life.
The counsellor must have the skills and technical knowledge to advise the patient in different categories, like marriage and family counseling, guidance for patents who needs to be in treatment for should visit doctors, substance abuse counselling.
The counsellor is responsible to helps individuals, community to heal, and psychological wounds and rebuild social structures after an emergency or a critical event to change people into active survivor’s rater then passive victims.
The counsellor must have the skills to refer to a set of methods and practices used to assist individuals with psychological or emotional problems or disorders that affect their ability to interact in a socially appropriate manner.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Job Requirement
The candidates must have (Psychology Degree) with three years’ experience in related field.
Minimum three years of direct experience in managing IDPs and returnees and emergency projects in a similar environment.
Familiarity with the community cultural language, traditional movement and its sensitiveness.
Strong interpersonal, intercultural and communication skills.
Excellent analytical and written skills and good computer skills.
Ability to work in independently and in a team with program staff at all levels.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability work effectively in a team and with staff at different levels;
Able to work independently and take initiative, as well as accurately follow instructions;
Proven capacity to do work independently a diverse team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
