About MMRCA: Background Information: The Medical Management and Research Courses For Afghanistan (MMRCA) is a national, non-for profit, non-political, humanitarian organization established in March 2008 by Afghan Health Professionals and is registered as an NGO with the ministry of economy (MoE) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. MMRCA has been implementing the NFM HIV Project (Scaling up HIV interventions among Key Affected Populations in Afghanistan) in Balkh and Kundoz provinces. Therefore, MMRCA is looking to recruit a qualified Outreach Worker for PWIDs DIC in Balkh province to provide the required HIV prevention related services for the under PWIDs DIC and OST Activity in Balkh province. MMRCA invites and encourage eligible candidates to apply for the position of Outreach Worker for PWIDs DIC for PWIDs DIC under NFM HIV Project located at PWIDs DIC in Balkh Province.
Job Description
Responsibilities :
- Respect the internal MMRCA and MOPH rules and policies.
- Performing full time and night duty according to schedule
- Preparation weekly, monthly and quarterly action plan, equipped with outreach tools and its implementation in field
- Promote an enabling environment, facilitate safe and easy access for other team and clients in PWIDs DIC level
- Provision of awareness and health education services for PWIDs clients regarding harm reduction and HIV prevention
- Providing Harm Reduction kits (needle, syringe etc) for PWID clients and re-collecting the utilized needle, syringe by targeted clients on regular basis
- Provision of referral services from outreach area to OST center for MMT services etc
- Providing Harm Reduction and HIV/AIDs Services for PWIDs and other KAPs through PWIDs DIC and Outreach Activities
- Provision indicated Harm Reduction and HIV/AIDs Services based on signed project contract and achieving indicated target
- Recording provided services throughout of PWIDs DIC and Outreach
- To ensure excellent communication with team and target group
- Follow infection and prevention procedure and waste management such as used needle, syringe etc and transfer it to PWIDs DIC and disabling it through incinerator
- Preparation weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual progress report
- Participation in all related training and transferring to other staff
- Participation in all official meeting, workshop and events of harm reduction
- To identify and report immediately any problems that may interfere in achieving program objectives
- Perform any other related duty assigned by line manager
Professional Competencies:
- Good Knowledge of fluently in Dari/Pashto and English languages
- Preference will be given to native resident
- Baccalaureate/ Bachelor
- One year work experience in related field
- Received Training about Harm Reduction, HIV/AIDs and Drug Addiction field etc
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good Computer Skill.
Job Requirement
Baccalaureate/ Bachelor.
Fluent in Dari and Pashtu and working Knowledge of English.
One work experience in medication or Health Management field (HIV, Harm Reduction and Oral Substitution Therapy etc.).
