KRO is an Afghan organization that is committed to the development of the local economy and building local capacity for sustainable development. The UNICEF- Social Behavior Change (WinS) program is implemented through the Education Department of the MoE and through several NGOs, Social Behavior Change (WinS) provides healthy, safe and secure school environment that is crucial for protecting children from health hazards, abuse and exclusion. Clean and sanitary schools provide conducive learning environment that is essential for access, completion and quality education. Schools with proper Hygienic facilities for children to like their school and community to feel confident about the school safety and privacy provided for their children.
Job Description
To provide healthy, safe and secure school environment that is crucial for protecting children from health hazards, abuse and exclusion, WinS significantly reduces hygiene-related diseases, increases student attendance and learning achievements, and contributes to dignity and gender equality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend a full course of WinS training at the central or/and provincial level.
- Prepare and implement program activity plans that correspond to the approved donor proposals and budgets and update these on timely basis.
- Supervise and manage SBC Facilitators team (both male and female) in his/her related schools of the province.
- Effective use of IEC materials in the target Schools and their follow up.
- Conduct coordination meetings provincial education departments for better implementation of WinS program.
- Design and implement a capacity building plan for all targeted schools SMS, PTA and students Club committees.
- Establish mutual and good relationship with targeted school principles.
- Provide logistical, administrative support to behavior change promoters.
- Prepare regular narrative reports on program activities for internal management purposes.
- Performing other duties as directed by the manager.
Other:
- Participate in training workshops meetings project events held in any provinces.
- Visit project sites and monitor all activities
- Respect and adore all policies of KRO including but not limited to; code of conduct, PSEA, Child Protection and Anti-Fraud and Conflict of Interest Policies
- Maintain 100% transparency and accountability
- Any other task assigned by management
NOTE: Selected candidate will be subjected to background checks with regards to Child Protection and PSEA policy breaches during their past employments.
Job Requirement
Bachelor in (social and behavioral science, public health, Sociology)
Minimum of three years’ in SBCC work in health, training and teaching, behaviors change theory.
Strong writing and analytical skills, including ability to communicate technical matters to arrange of audiences.
Excellent computer knowledge Microsoft office programs and relevant data base.
Familiarity with cultures of different Afghan communities.
Ability to speak in big gatherings and interact very smoothly and politely.
The candidate should be very polite and patient.
Good team interaction and positive attitude.
